Soak 1 cup of rice and 1/2 cup of chana dal in water for about 4-5 hours.

Drain the water and grind the mixture in a blender, adding enough water to make a thick batter.

Add 1 finely chopped green chilli, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and salt to taste to the batter and mix well.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

Pour a ladle full of batter into the hot oil and deep fry until it turns golden brown.

Remove the Dhuska from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serve hot with ghugni (yellow peas curry) or any chutney of your choice.
