Peel and cut 500 grams of sweet potatoes into medium-sized pieces.

Boil the sweet potatoes in a pan with enough water until they are cooked but still firm.

In another pan, add 200 grams of jaggery and 1/2 cup of water. Heat it on a medium flame until the jaggery melts completely.

Strain the jaggery syrup to remove any impurities and return it to the pan.

Add the boiled sweet potatoes to the jaggery syrup and mix well.

Cook on a low flame for about 10-15 minutes until the sweet potatoes absorb the jaggery syrup.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well.

Turn off the flame and let it cool down a bit before serving.
