1
Heat a kadai or pan on medium flame and dry roast 1 cup of rava (semolina) until it becomes aromatic and light golden in color. Keep stirring to avoid burning. Once done, transfer to a plate and let it cool.
2
In the same kadai, add 1/2 cup of grated coconut and roast it for 2-3 minutes on a low flame. Mix it with the roasted rava.
3
In a pan, heat 1/2 cup of ghee. Once the ghee is hot, add 10-12 cashews and fry until golden brown. Add these along with the ghee to the rava-coconut mixture.
4
Add 3/4 cup of powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the rava mixture. Mix everything well.
5
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of milk over the mixture and mix well. The mixture should be moist enough to hold its shape.
6
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus with your hands. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more milk.
