1
Soak 1 cup of rice flour in 1 1/2 cups of water for 30 minutes.
2
In a pan, add 1 cup of grated jaggery and 1/4 cup of water. Heat until the jaggery melts completely.
3
Strain the jaggery syrup to remove impurities and put it back on the stove.
4
Add 1 cup of grated coconut to the jaggery syrup and cook until the mixture thickens. This will be the filling.
5
In another pan, boil 1 1/2 cups of water with a pinch of salt.
6
Slowly add the soaked rice flour to the boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
7
Cook until the mixture forms a thick dough. Let it cool slightly.
8
Grease your hands with a little oil and take a small portion of the dough. Flatten it to form a small disc.
9
Place a spoonful of the jaggery-coconut filling in the center of the disc.
10
Bring the edges together and seal it, shaping it into a dumpling.
11
Prepare a steamer by boiling water. Place the dumplings on a greased steamer plate.
