Grate 1 coconut to get approximately 2 cups of grated coconut.

In a pan, add 1 cup of grated jaggery and 1/4 cup of water. Heat it on a low flame until the jaggery melts completely.

Once the jaggery has melted, add the grated coconut to the pan and mix well.

Continue to cook the mixture on a low flame, stirring continuously until the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well.

Turn off the flame and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Once the mixture is warm enough to handle, grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small laddus.

Allow the laddus to cool completely before serving.
