In a non-stick pan, heat 250 grams of mawa on low flame until it softens.

Add 100 grams of powdered sugar and a pinch of saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon of warm milk. Mix well.

Cook the mixture on a low flame for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.

Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down slightly.

Once the mixture is warm, knead it gently to make it smooth.

Grease the modak moulds with a little ghee.

Take a small portion of the mixture and press it into the mould to shape it into a modak. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

Carefully open the mould and remove the modak.

Serve the Kesar Mawa Modak fresh or store in an airtight container.
