Orange Cake
Orange cake is a delightful dessert that combines the tangy freshness of oranges with the sweet, moist texture of a sponge cake. It's a perfect treat for tea time or any festive occasion. Ingredients: Orange, Eggs, Maida, Orange juice, Butter, Sugar, Salt, Baking powder

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a cake tin with a little butter and dust it with flour.

Take 200 grams of maida (all-purpose flour), 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Sieve these dry ingredients together twice to ensure they are well mixed.

In a separate bowl, take 200 grams of sugar and 200 grams of softened butter. Beat them together until they become fluffy and light.

Add 4 eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Now, add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with 100 ml of orange juice. Mix well after each addition.

Add the zest of 2 oranges to the batter and mix well.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the tin for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
