Red Velvet Cake
Red velvet cake is a rich, moist, and fluffy cake with a deep red hue, topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting. It's a perfect dessert for special occasions and celebrations.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, mix 250 grams of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons of cocoa powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk together 240 ml of buttermilk, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Set aside.

In a separate large bowl, beat 200 grams of granulated sugar and 120 grams of unsalted butter until light and fluffy. Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of red food coloring until the batter is uniformly colored.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

To prepare the cream cheese frosting, beat 200 grams of cream cheese, 100 grams of unsalted butter, 400 grams of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread a layer of frosting on top of one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and spread frosting over the entire cake, covering the top and sides evenly.
